How it works
Five ways of getting there.
Every itinerary passes through the same hands and the same tables. Only how much of the design stays with you changes.
Days
A private day in one sub-region, in a small group, with two houses and a long lunch. It suits those already in the region for another reason and those who want to know Altivia before a longer journey. Two, three or four days can be combined, in the same region or in different sub-regions.
See how a day worksCollections
Multi-day itineraries of our own making, one for each destination, with set dates and small groups. Altivia has already chosen the houses and the pace of each day, and the date is yours to choose. Of the full journeys it is the most affordable, with the same curation and the same support as the rest.
Ask about the CollectionsBespoke
It begins with a conversation about who is travelling, for how long, what you like to drink and eat, what you would rather not repeat. From there we design the whole journey: houses, hotels, tables, a driver, a winemaker alongside you where it makes sense. The visits outside any catalogue and the hours only a personal relationship can secure belong here.
Start the conversationItinerary curation
For those travelling independently who want the right map. We deliver the itinerary drawn out: which houses, in what order, where to have lunch, where to sleep, what to avoid on each day of the week. We make whatever introductions we can; the bookings stay with you. A flat-fee service, set out in the proposal.
Request a curated itineraryDestination wedding
A wedding at a winery, with the guests’ travel taken care of. Altivia handles the venue, the accommodation, the transport and the wine itinerary in the days around the ceremony, so that guests can treat those days as a journey. Décor, catering and protocol stay with your wedding planner, and we work alongside them.

Four steps
How it begins
Conversation
After your message, we set up half an hour by video or telephone, to understand who is travelling, when, at what pace and what you already know.
Proposal
Within a few days you receive the shape of the journey: day by day, houses, accommodation, what is included, price and conditions.
Adjustments
You mark what changes, and one or two rounds usually suffice. With the itinerary settled, we confirm the bookings and send the contract.
The journey
Before you leave you receive the final itinerary and the contacts. During the journey Ludmilla follows closely, and anything that departs from the plan finds someone at the other end of the telephone.
What is included
It depends on the way you choose and is set out in the proposal. As a rule, the Collections and Bespoke include accommodation, transport in the region, booked visits and tastings, and the meals named in the itinerary. Flights and travel insurance are included if you would like us to handle them; if not, we say plainly what falls outside. With Itinerary curation we deliver the design of the journey, and the bookings and payments stay with you. A single day includes transport from your hotel, the booked visits and lunch.

Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost?
On request. Every itinerary is designed for the people travelling, and the price depends on destination, length, accommodation and group size. The proposal gives a fixed price and what it covers, with nothing added later.
Do I travel alone, as a couple or in a group?
Any of the three. The Collections bring together small groups, and Bespoke runs from a couple to a group of friends or a family. Larger groups are possible, though we talk first, because not every house worth the journey can receive many people at once.
Do I need to speak Spanish, Catalan or Portuguese?
No. Visits are accompanied by someone who speaks the local language and, when the producer speaks no English, we translate at the table. Altivia works in Portuguese, Spanish and English.
Who accompanies the journey?
Ludmilla Panadés runs the operation and accompanies the journeys. On some itineraries Marcelo or a local winemaker comes along. The proposal says who will be with you on each leg.
And if I need to cancel?
Cancellation and rescheduling terms are set out in the proposal and follow the rules of each hotel and winery involved. We recommend travel insurance with cancellation cover; we can suggest one.
I bought wine at the winery. How do I get it home?
In most houses the wine is packed to travel in checked luggage. The Brazilian duty-free allowance is 12 litres of alcoholic drink per person, and it is worth confirming the allowance for your own country. Direct shipping depends on the producer and the country; we arrange it case by case.
